if it is a ex v6, then you can get one at the dealership, or on ebay. ebay is the best choice.

Ebay is the best choice?? Now even if he was asking about getting one, which he is not, this is not good advice.

8 grand for an accord with 100k on it, that's overpriced if you ask me. got me a prelude with 40k on it for 8 grand. i mean different cars in diff. class but i would have searched hard. just my thoughts

No.

I paid $3500 for my accord with 170k on it. And it was a 96

It also varies on location. In cali those lame teal hatches go for boatloads because of the color - whereas here they're a dime a dozen

i knew that was what you were talking about the whole time. those things are all over ebay. i bought one a few years ago when they weren't so popular on ebay. i got a new aftermarket hooked to my factory alarm now.

I paid $5000 for my 98 accord with 89k miles.
Fewer miles, way less price, and only two years older.
I think you should have done some further researching, or some serious negotiating.

back in 2005 I paid 6900 for a 98 LX V6 coupe with 89K on it. I paid $3600 to rebuild the transmission. I traded the car in 9 months later because the auto trans had been rebuilt 3 times within 11K miles. Got my 2002 CL type S for $15K in sept 06 with 40K on it, now it's worth approximately $13K at edmonds and $13,800 at KBB 13,100 at nada

some things not taken into account Tinted windows and new tires but hey
