how to wing tilt?
alright i like my wing but i kinda want a little change so i stumbled along these stock ones tilted with some washers but thats about the only info i could find on how to do it. i took my wing off and tried but the bolts arent long enought to hold washers then put the cap nut back on. anyones have detailed instruction on how-to or knowledge of this? thanks.

common sense would tell you to get new hardware. possibly longer hardware and some washers.
then again, people with common sense dont do the 'wing tilt'.

IMO, it doesnt matter the angle of the picture... It still looks funky!!!
Just get an aftermarket wing if thats the look you're going for. It may cost a few more bucks but at least it wont look out of place or broken!!

First of all there are no washers invloved.
I Love it. I've done it to all three of my 4thgens I have owned. On this hatch i did the wing prop to the extreme though. I was trying to go for the eg hatch Backyard Special wing which practically stands straight up. I knew I couldnt do it so i just propped it up as high as i thought i would look good without being tooo obnoxious.

that car would look way better with an siR wing. If i were to purchase that car, the first thing would be gas it up.... drive it home, remove that 'tilt'. in that order, depending on the gas gauge.

that looks good the only thing i dont like is the sides so it would be nice to be able to customize that wing and make it one of a kind like weld up the sides so it looks full. I have the tilt but not that high then it look weird and the sides look all fauk up dam what a nice ef really dude.

I agree it looks horrible at any angle. JDM/EDM is all the rage but where I live having an EF at all is amazing. Rust belt has condemned almost all here. Thats why its not driven in the winter. I'm going more for the USDM option look. I will soon be posting up a project costing more than $2k for my hatch and it has nothing to do with a wing tilt. But to each his own I guess.
well thanks for the how-to
but besides the point got it accomplised with a nuts and a short bolt, not extremely high but tasteful to me, i'll takes pics in the morning for all you haters. as for you fellow wing tilters, rock on
