Default Couple quick qestions about an RSX.

So there are a couple things that need to be done on my girlfriends RSX so I figured that I would post them all up here for to see if you all can help me:

1. Her rear wheel bearings need to be replaced. Where is the best place to get them from OTHER THAN THE DEALER? Does any company make an aftermarket hub unit for the rear yet?

2. Her maintenance required light is on because we do out own oil changes and maintenance. How can I get that light off?

3. Her SRS light is on right now. A couple years ago, she hit a deer with her car and ever since then the light has been on. Is there a reset button for it? On my Prelude there is a way to reset the light so they actually work.

4. Her car is an automatic and we think the trans is starting to go. It doesnt shift as well as it used to and it just seems like the trans is "slow". Ive done a fluid flush on it and it seemed to make it better but it still doesnt feel 100% like it used to. Is there a way to test it to find out if its on its last legs?

5. Her driver side seat has come appart at the seam right were your butt is. When it was in for repairs from the deer, the techs somehow separated the seam on the seat and when she brought it to their attention, they said they didnt do it. She isnt the most persuasive person so she just sucked it up and left. I wasnt dating her at the time or else I would have said something to the shop. We are looking for an oem seat cover for it but dont know where to get it. Would it be cheaper to just get 2 matching front used seats?

6. At what mileage do you guys replace your timing belts?

Thank you for all your help!

2. See page 65 in your owner's manual.

1. Turn off the engine

2. Press and hold the select/reset button in the instrument panel, then turn the ignition switch ON (II).

3. Hold the button until the indicator resets (approximately ten seconds).

3. forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=308198

4. This happens with every trans. You can have it rebuilt or get a used one.

6. Rsxs have timing chains

Around what mileage does this start to happen at? I know with the Preludes' auto trans, right around 90k the trans goes. Most people swap over to the 5spd when this happens, Same thing with you guys?

Do you have to replace the timing chains? Ive only owned cars that have belts.

No need to replace the timing chain. If you notice the serpentine belt to get loose then replace that. The trans really depends on how you drive it. You can check k20a.org for used trannies.
