well, what are you looking for? more performance or reliability?

you asked an odd question:

by a $150 part and gain 1 WHP, or buy a whole new motor. two different scenarios here...

lol buy an aem intake and use it for you d15b vtec,... it should fit into your price range..if you want to save money just buy the longblock and keep your tranny, hell if you want to save even more money just find a z6, y8 or d15b head and throw it on your block, there are about 8000 threads on how to do it

^ LMFAO! I second ALL of that.

To the OP, why buy an intake? It won't make a difference whatsoever. Be patient and save a few more bucks for a motor... Simple as that.

dude that's like not even the same category, it'd be one thing if you said i'm gonna do an engine swap, should i drop this ls engine in or save up for a gsr, but just go get an intake for now, it's only 150 for a good one, it'll sound cool, you'll get an extra hp or 2, and then when you do get a new engine, you'll already have an intake for it. cause trust me, when you do get a new engine, you're going to want to put a good intake on it.
