Exhaust question

Exhaust question
I have a cat-back greddy exhaust.....it was on the car when I purchased it......the muffler seems way to big and the tip is 4 1/2" in diameter.....very loud.....im thinking that I should buy another muffler which is smaller....heres some pics......what should I do
