Project Kics bull lock (wheel locks) will they "seat" properly on my rota slips?
http://www.racinglab.com/prkibulobact.html

Whats up guys, i currently have Rota Slipstreams on my EP3. Will the Project Kics Bull lock (wheel locks) "seat" properly on my aftermarket Rota Slipstreams? The product description says its for use with most OE and aftermarket wheels with single pattern. Are my slips single pattern? Help is appreciated, wanna make sure these will properly "seat" on my slips before i buy em.
Thanks

Yes. This other picture on that website shows that they have the tapered/conical shaped seating area which most aftermarket wheels, including yours, require:

Thanks a lot for the help man, so basically:
tapered/conical lugs = for aftermarket wheels
while
Acorn lugs = for OEM wheels
right?

You've got the right idea, but your use of the word "acorn" can be confusing. The term "acorn" is often used to refer to lug nuts which are only about as long as they are wide, and does not necessarily refer to the shape of the seating area. What matters is the shape of the seating area. And yes, the ones with a tapered/conical seat are for aftermarket wheels. Honda/Acura OEM wheels have a ball-shaped, or spherical or radius shaped, seating area and need lugs with the same shape.
Here's the photo that's also in the FAQ topic stickied at the top of this forum:

P.S. One more question, so the reason aftermarket wheels (Rota, Volk, 5Zigen, Buddy Club, Mugen, etc) require "tuner lugs" aka tapered/conical lug nuts is because the shape of the wheel holes design? While OEM wheels obviously run on OEM lug nuts but cant properly use aftermarket lug nuts because of the wheel holes design as well? If i am not mistaken i believe a certain style of Spoon lug nuts can be used on the stock wheels since the lug nut design is ball-shaped/spherical shaped...so guess that would be an exception to running aftermarket lugs on stock wheels.
Thanks in advance

Yes, it would. What matters is that the shape of the seating area on the lug nuts is the same as the shape of the seating area it comes into contact with on the wheels. It's quite possible that you might be able to get aftermarket "tuner" lug nuts with the ball-shaped seating area. Heck, you can walk into your local Autozone and for just over a buck apiece you can buy lug nuts with either shaped seating area (so no matter what kind of wheels you have, you don't have to buy more expensive "tuner" style lug nuts). And that's another example of aftermarket lug nuts with the ball-shaped seating area.

Thanks man, dang i never knew autozone sold lug nuts separately, and for just about a $1 something each in both oem and tuner style. My friend recently bought a used RSX with stock wheels running aftermarket lug nuts and is asking where to get OEM style lug nuts for cheap since the dealership is charging an arm and 2 legs plus a bag of chips..
. I should direct him to autozone to pick up some ball shaped (oem style) lug nuts.
Also in my first post regarding the bull locks wheel locks, the product description says its for use with most OE and aftermarket wheels with single pattern. I dont get what is meant by oem/aftermarket wheels with sing pattern. What does single pattern mean? Thanks again for the enlightenment.

Yup. Last time I checked, they were $1.09 at Autozone, and they're probably around $4 each at the dealer. Just make sure he gets the ones with the ball shaped seat. Autozone might call them "acorn" but might not; either way, they definitely have them.

I don't know, sorry. Maybe someone else here can answer that.
