Default Recommended fuel pump for alcohol

I'm looking to get an external fuel pump to handle alcohol, any reccommendations? I was looking at the Aeromotive A1000 (part # 11101) which I was told will handle alcohol even though it does not say so specifically on Aeromotive's website. Thanks for the info.

I'm assuming it is an all motor car since you are looking at the A1000. Everyone tells us that will be the first thing to fail, but we have had no problems with the A1000 so far on Methanol. If and when it does fail, we can have 2 more sitting in the trailer for less than buying one of the pumps that a lot of people are using.

Aeromotive won't recommend it, but there are lots of people running that type of pump on alcohol with great success. If I had a turbo car, I would do a mechanical.

Yes, it's for an all motor setup and actually Aeromotive reccommended the A1000 saying that it would handle alcohol 'better', whatever that means. I'm also planning on using Klotz Uplon Fuel Lube.

I called aeromotive they told me that you can use any of there electric pumps with alcohol just that its conducts electricity and wears out the brushes faster they just said to send them in after the race season to get checked out...

If your fuel cell is in the engine compartment where a mechanical fuel pump could be gravity fed - one of our mechanical pumps would be best. You could run 150 psi all day with 0 amp draw.

If your cell has to be in the rear of the car, a Weldon may be more practical.

We've had a lot of our competitors mechanical pumps on our flow bench, anyone interested in the differences can give me a call or e-mail anytime.

Really? I'm using the Aeromotive 700 HP EFI Fuel Pump, P/N 11106 now and they said the A1000 would work better.
