Default bosch fuel pump not what it is?

ok, I was looking at the bosch fuel pump on endyn's site
http://www.theoldone.com/components/fuelpumps/

I was looking at teh flow charts and they say at 50psi, the pump flows 53.33 gph..

when I calculated that out to liters per hour(lph)it seemed low to me...I can't remember the exact vlomue numbers but for sure there are at least 3.5 liters in 1 gallon.

so:
53.33
x 3.50(estimated)
--------------

186.655 lph at 50 psi

I can't find anything about walboro, but I'm geussing that the 255lph version is rated at 45psi...

so Endyn says that at 20psi, the bosch pump flows 62.5gph. That equals to 218.75lph

My point is, at 45psi, the bosch pump won't even flow as much as the walboro pump. So what my conclusion is, is that teh walboro tops out the bosch from every aspectrice, performance, and fit

if I am wrong, please correct me and explain to me why I'm wrong

It's kinda late right now, so I might be speaking out of my ***

The flow rate for the walbro.

that's strange...

does anybody know how much voltage our hondas have?

if it's 12volts, then they're still really close to the same specs

The voltage depends how much load you have. The more current you have, the less voltage you will have.

i thought our electical system put out 13.5 with engine on, but i only see 12.5 - 12.6 on the AEM EMS at idle.

but then again i am not 100% confident in the analog / digital conversion hardware within the AEM EMS. someone should put a voltmeter across the battery at idle.

slightly under 13 is normal at idle, but if engine RPM is higher than ~2000 RPM you should see at least 13.5 volts.

then all that proves my point that teh bosch pump that endyn sells is a big waste of money......right?

Depends on what your set up it. If you have a FMU which runs higher fuel pressure, no. If you have a stand alone and your fuel pressure are lower, then yes.

That looks suspiciously similar to the Bosche fuel pump in CIS VW/Volvo/MB cars.

Yup. Watch out though, you are probably gonna get flamed by the Larry lovers.

Who owned one of those gargantuan Bosch pumps.

Paul, I apologize I received your IM regarding my fuels set up but I don't have the ability to reply back from my home CPU. I do have a BOSCH pump like Endyn sells, I did not buy mine from Endyn though but from my local BAP-Geon Import parts store, they are national though. I paid like $185 local for it, it is a pump from a 911 Turbo 79-83 or something close to that, and whoever replied above about Porsche,Volkswagen etc pump you are right. It has always worked very well for me, my local dyno/machine shop does alot of road race cars and also has a Speedvision Porsche there and they use this pump on the racecars. My fuel set up is simple Bosch pump, Accel 72lb/hr=7501cc injectors, stock rail and lines. Soon to be upgraded, I do have a bigger fuel rail from a company that I will never CONDONE anyone purchasing stuff form them again , I will use it it has no name on it, and upgrade to SS lines. KISS Keep It Simple Stupid is my motto too. Look at Jason's littlebluecrx his whole set up is very simple but it WORKS! HTH Paul, also you can email me, when I am at work or friends houses I can IM back, but if you see me posting here and IM and don't get a quick reply I may be home.

yeah...thanks terry.

AS far as I'm concerned...this is for a standalone unit and not FMU...

but for the FMu part, the walboro HP should do the job just fine

just remember, if you have a boost/vaccum source to your regulator, your fuel pressure doesn't stay constant. And if you're running big boost, that gain in fuel pressure could be as much as 20-25psi. Then you understand the importance of pressure and flow.

that bosch pump is well worth the money..

if you look at the walbro pump, even the "high pressure" pump runs out of steam by 100 psi..

the standard drag kit user runs a 12:1 regulater with around 30-40 psi 0 vac fuel pressure, so that adds up to at least 114 psi fuel pressure under boost.. that equals a blown motor with the walbro... I had a 144 psi fuel pressure guage in my teg and it was pegged with the standard fuel setup on the drag kit..

I ran 170 psi fuel pressure on my setup which was an 8:1 regulator at 16 psi /w 40 psi 0 vac pressure... I used the endyn pump alone and it worked great, I could maintain any a/f I wanted at any boost pressure (I never tried over 16) /w my vafc...

I am a strong believer in that pump.. it is the cheapest insurance you could buy!

That's really, really, hard on your entire fuel system.

worked good.. never stuck an injector...

had a stock fuel pressure regulator break 1 time... other than that no problems at all, despite all the urban legends as to how "bad" my fuel setup was

ive got the bosch pump. havent used it yet.
All i know is in the last few super streets, when theyve done all these writes up on skylines etc. they are all running at least 2 of these bosch pumps(since they are making nutso power). so, they work.
