Default Can we make a list of how many MPG of what everyone gets? Including Swaps.

Just list your
Year
Model
Engine and Tranny

I know it may varies, but please provide the info as a daily driver and no track. But if you drives in the higher rpm all the time, please state it, so it don't throw the data off.

Picking up a stock 91 CRX HF model tomorrow and seeing if it's worth leaving it stock for the mileage or sacrifice the mileage for power.

I can live with 30mpg if it's possible. This is coming from a person who drives a WRX that gets 20-25mpg, on Premium gas. It's like $40-50 a week for gas. So which is why I picked up the CRX HF for my next 2 years of college commute from Buffalo to Boston, etc.

I'd leave it stock. You just can't beat 40-50mpg on a stock HF.

And if you put a swap in it, that is going to cause your right foot to hit the gas hard thus resulting in lower MPG. Also it is hard to judge MPG per swap because everyone drives there cars different. I shift my Si 1-3-5, I shift my Dual Point 1-2-3-5. There are a ton of variables. I have a buddy with a poormans type R swap that gets around 30mpg but again that can be driving style. I hope you understand what I am saying.

Too many variables for this info to be relevant. Location, driving habits, mileage, gearing, etc.

I've done every thing I can aside from transmission to get better fuel economy. Made it from Seattle to Vegas round trip for $210, split between 3 people. 118 degree deserts rule with no A/C. Gold bond is not for the feet kids.

How do you get 300 too a full tank? I have a b16 w a j1 tranny and only get a little over 200 on a full tank running 93 octane. Motor runs good no check engine lights. Why are my miles so low?

could be the tranny w/ 4.4 FD and the short 5th gear. I had a jdm s1 with 4.4 fd and .907 5th.
averaged 25 mpg. excellent tranny for acceleration. put it to good use everytime i drove the car.

that tranny had some issues after a while and was replaced with a jdm y1 with 4.2 fd and .878 5th. this tranny is better for street driving imo. rpm are lower in all gears but it's doesn't move like the s1 did. as a result i now drive normal because the y1 doesn't do much for me. now averaging 32 mpg with a b16 powered 88 hatch dx type.

lol

well here are my 2 hondas

91 CRX Si
B18b w/ cable LS trans
T3 w/ 450cc and a basemap

Had to use it as a daily one week averaged about 25mpg mixed driving lol...even when I'd just play with it on the weekends I couldsqueeze 20mpgs out of it easily...

My new daily is a 95 Civic VX
D15z1 w/ stock trans
only have had it a few months now and the winter dropped my MPG a little but I am averaging 42mpg city and 47 highway

if you consider any motor swap, grab a D15z1 slap that bad boy into your HF with the HF trans, convert to OBD1 and use the VX ecu and you can squeeze some amazing numbers out of that car...thats my future plan, try to make a 60mpg+ HF

i found i got better mpg when i let my b16 tranny sit at 4k on the highway rather than 4.5-5k. so i stopped going past 70mph to save my mpgs
