Tips for installing OEM Paper Gasket - Intake Manifold
My hondata IM gasket is leaking coolant. so i'm going back to the oem paper gasket
is there anything i can do during the install to prevent the paper gasket from sticking to the head / IM?
what i mean is whenever the next time i take off the IM, i don't want to scrape paper gasket for an hour
one of the C-speedracing DIY's mentioned oil on the gasket. but i question how effective this is and whether or not it will cause damage to the gasket long term
So any ideas? Thanks...

if i were in your boat, i'd just put it on there as it is. nice clean and dry. no not soak or lather in oil, so next time you can take it off easily. just spend the extra time to clean it.
oil may or may not cause gasket to deteriorate(SP?)

thats what i thought. that it may deteriorate
just wondering if anyone had done this before. it was mentioned on c-speed racing (hondata gasket install). so i thought maybe this was a common thing to do in order to prevent the sticky gasket
or maybe if there was another product to use. On one of the mustang forums (google searching) someone suggested using spray on PAM (cooking spray). that was for a paper gasket in a carb

I've heard of people using WD-40 on the gaskets. Just sandwich the Hondata gasket in between two OEM Honda gaskets. That way you can still use it.
