Default DCK20A: Engine bay update

I built it a year ago and still not satisfied with the outcome of the engine bay. A lot of time/work, money put to it already but what the heck…. I decided to update the engine bay:

Plan is weld all unused holes, shave the engine bay, tuck brake lines. Engine itself will be updated as well.

...maybe weekly updates

Sweet. I hope you put a filter on that thing! I wouldn't want you to suck any small birds in there! Also, what plans do you have for the motor? Cosmetic or performance?

Nice car!

There is a screen right on the stack. I think it's enough to stop debris to go in.

Engine performance will be upgraded for sure but undecided which parts to get. But plan to get more than 250 to the wheel. Any recomendation?

Sure, car is built for race; all go with little taste.

k2 is ok but I made 252 with a full brian crower head. Valves, retianers, springs and stage 2 cams, with a rbc mani bored to 70mm to fit the bdl throttle body. 2.5 inch strait exhaust, rcrew header, and kpro. originaly did 250 then did 252 when I switched to royal purple. I am using a 03 k20a2

Nice! How much did you make with the IPS K2? I'm guessing 230-240?

dynoed at 239, it felt great but the crower worked for me, also much cheaper. My engine revs to 9100 tho, makes peak HP at 9065 rpm
