Default alternator problem, help pleeassee

i got a 97 ex, my headlights were dimming in and out/speedomotor not working/when i turn heat on it makes weird sound, but this only occurs after i hit the accelerator/ and having to jump car... so i took the alternator out and went and got it rebuilt. put it back in and problem was still occuring, made a couple phone calls and they told me to replace my grounds, so i ran a new one from battery to transmission, and body to transnission, but its still doing it...any suggestions on what is wrong?....could it be just a bad re-build?? thanks a lot.
