Default Question about unplugging battery

my friend has s2000 and when he had to install his CAI he had to unplug the battery.
after he installed his CAi he put everything back together, but he had to punch in 4 digit (maybe more) code to access the radio/cd again, and to find that he had to go to the honda dealer and ask them for the code.
would i need the same code if i unplug my battery?
I'm installing CAI tomorrow on my 04 RSX-S

Please let me know if I would need a code and how can i find it if i need one

thanks

You will need a code. It's five digits, if you bought your car new, the dealer should have given you a card with that code on it. If you are like me, who bought your car used, you will have to find where the previous owner kept that code. I found mine on the inside of the back cover of the manual. Good Luck

there unique codes, the s2k one wont work for your rsx if thats what your asking, as for finding it, its usually kept with the owners manual book/case or you can go to the dealer if all else, thats kinda a pia though

open your glovebox and there should be a code on the left side of the glovebox. That is your radio code.

I have never done this with an RSX but I know any other radio I need a code for I simply pull out the radio and get the serial number off the top of it and get the VIN number from the car! The dealership can take that info and give you your code!

Yeah you'll need the code after disconnecting the battery. My code was on a business card that came with the car from the dealer. Its kept in the owners manual.
