Radio Code after battery replacement

Radio Code after battery replacement
My son's girl friend has a 2015 Honda Pilot Touring. Yesterday she had a battery replaced and now has an code message on her radio. She bought it last year from a used car lot, has no manual or key code card for it. The shop that replaced her battery said the only way to have the code retrieved was to go to the dealership and have them get it. He said that they may charge up to $120 for this service. She lives about 2 hour away from my place so I am gathering as much info for her as possible.
She works part time and goes to school so a $120 bill additional to having her battery replaced is expensive.
Is there any other way to retrieve this code?
Thanks for any advice or dirrection.

Re: Radio Code after battery replacement
I read somewhere that by having the acc on and holding down preset #! and #6 then turning on the radio the serial number will appear. I think the Honda has a NAV system as well. I hope this is the procedure to get the number.
With this number and the VIN. I should be able to get the unlock code on the web site. Does this work up in Canada?
Thanks

Ive always "heard" that simply taking your VIN to the dealer would give you the radio code. Maybe just call them and ask?
when i first bought my pilot i took the VIN to dealer and they gave me a full service history, for free.
