Well, the oil is thicker when it gets cold. Let the car warm up and see if it goes back to normal.

Sometimes oil pressure gauges will read low depending on their source. I've had mine tip zero (Autometer ultralight) on occasion, and while it scares the **** out of me, it's never more than 1/2 a quart down when I check. Just watch for consistency. That's more important than raw numbers from a cheap gauge

Thats what I was thinking, I have the same autometer gauge... I tapped my oil pressure sensor on back of the block for my oil pressure gauge...

update: just started car for first time today an its reading 80 so were all good.. when I started my car yesterday it was mid 40's but got into high teens over night so my engine got pretty damn cold... i guess its thawed out now lol... thanks guys..
