low oil pressure at 48 degrees...
should the outside temp affect my oil pressure at all? I checked all lines an everythings connected n no leaks and oil pressure only goes above 40 if I give it throttle otherwise it sits at 30-40.... first time I started car all day also and its been chilly as **** all day... thanks...

well I let the car warm up even took for a lil spin and still pressure only got to 60 on gauge... oil line on dipstick is saying its full as well.. no leaks still... id hate to just go with a guess an say its just the cold weather but don't wana leave any notes untouched....

im alil over do on my oil pump change i was waiting for when my head gets back from the shop to do my ls vtec all at once but my gauge was also reading low even like 5 psi at idle when spec is 10 and up so i switch it into a friends car and its doing the same thing now guess its just the gauge mine was a prosport what do you have ?

Sometimes oil pressure gauges will read low depending on their source. I've had mine tip zero (Autometer ultralight) on occasion, and while it scares the **** out of me, it's never more than 1/2 a quart down when I check. Just watch for consistency. That's more important than raw numbers from a cheap gauge

Thats what I was thinking, I have the same autometer gauge... I tapped my oil pressure sensor on back of the block for my oil pressure gauge...
update: just started car for first time today an its reading 80 so were all good.. when I started my car yesterday it was mid 40's but got into high teens over night so my engine got pretty damn cold... i guess its thawed out now lol... thanks guys..
