Is it okay to use 0w20 Full Synthetic Oil? 2007 Civic SI
im not really positive if its ok but 0w20 is what honda uses on hybrids only..some lady brought in her own Amoil 0w30 and i had to put it in her odyssey and she isnt back yet so i guess its no harm
I would not recommend using it in your engine...
Even Eneos cautions about it...(read "caution")

that's what your owner's manual says.

5W-30 is fine for almost down to 0 F. Even if you get 0W...its still dry for the first few strokes, etc...
Your motor will come to full operating temp no matter what it is outside. When it does that xW-20 will lose viscosity (read: turn into water) sooner than xW-30 will
Race oil is 0W-50 for a reason.
EDIT: The Eneos quote

I wouldn't run a Xw-20 in a Honda that specifies Xw-30, Honda usually makes their recommendations based on quite a bit of wear and economy data and if anything seems to be biased towards the 20 weights. Because of that, there is likely a good reason for them to suggest a 30 weight so I would go with that if I were you. I would change it out as soon as you can to a Xw-30.

Hmmm... maybe 0w40 is no bueno then~! More resistance means less hp and more fuel consumption!
