Ok, well. Are you saying you stripped the "flat head" top of the adjuster? If so, first rotate the crank until there is no load on the rocker if not done already. Then take the lock nut of and use some plier or vise grips and turn the adjuster to loosen it until it comes out, and just put another in (all this can be done through the top, with just the valve cover off)

Your a expletiveing moron....

Yes all you have to do is remove your valve cover, Rotate the engine until load from your camshaft is released from the rocker arm, loosen the 10mm lock nut on the top of the arm, remove adjustment screw replace just mke sure you know how many turns it takes to remove the old screw so you can thread in the new on with that many rotations or you can fudge a valve.

Use some vise grips, it will come out, the rocker threads will bring the bolt lip back to norm.

? the adjusters should be the same size, should go right in. However, if you want and feel its safer to go through the bottom, then by all means go that way.

no the adjusters have a small lip on the end.. that is a pita to pull threw the top.. it will go but its hard and alot easier to take the rocker arm assembly off and pull it threw the bottom.. but now im fighting with it cuz i tried threw the top and effed the thread up and it wont pull threw the bottom.. so now i have to take it out the top..
