Default my DA dies when ever i put the clutch in....

car-92 integra with 98 type r swap using innovative cable to hydro kit

problem-one day driving normally, out of nowhere the car began to idle real low or just shut off WHENEVER I STEPPED ON THE CLUTCH PEDAL. after a short while of doing this, the car wouldnt turn on at all, i guess turning the car on so many times from it shutting off drained the battery? i replaced the battery with a new one, and now it did the same thing. it turned on righ taway at first and then it began to idle low. when i step on theh clutch pedal it idles lower if not just plains shuts off. now it wont turn on because it seems like the battery doesnt have enough juice.

what could the problem be? altenator? bad starter?
any input would be greatly appreciated! this is my daily driver.

i jus had the same problem with my 98 gs-r, and im sorry to say that my end result was a hole in my motor the size of a golf ball thanks to a thrown rod. there is alot it can be, spark, idle, alternator, oil problem, etc. i still havent found my problem yet cuz this jus happned a couple days ago but once i find out ill def let you know wat you should check up on.

I checked the altenator by pulling the negative battery terminal off while the car was running. The car stayed on. I was told that if the car stays on when u do this, the altenator is working fine.

sounds like a combo of things.. I doubt it anything to do with the alternator..

Your probably going to need a new battery, sounds like that one is getting old and is not able to charge very well, and hold it during continuous cranking..

It might be your fuel pump relay that is stopping you from starting it up.

I'd be interested to see what your current flow is with the Battery connected with the clutch not pushed in.

Check your grounds (all of them, battery, transmission, motor). I've heard of this behavior before where the grounds were broken or not connected, and the clutch cable was used as a ground for current, once pressed the connection was broken and the motor would die.

Do a search on grounds here and you should find where they all are just incase.

Good luck!
