Default Dyno - Factors that affect results?

Hi All,

I recently posted my results but had a reply that didn't make any sense, can someone chime in to explain the following:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
i've just had my b16 tuned by mase over the weekend and even with the limiations of the tuning tools mase could use (my vafc!) he managed 152whp with an increase of 15-20whp across the whole powerband! This was done at SRR where the dyno reads lower .

All credit to mase, Mark at AE for sorting out couple of problems before the tune! </TD></TR></TABLE>

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">you do know about half of that is going to be because the gearbox oil would have turned to brake fluid by the time it was finished on the dyno, do it again cold, ie the same transmissions temps as you first power run. you might have about an 8bhp increase. </TD></TR></TABLE>

What i'm wondering is Mase managed to get the mid range power on the third pull with engine cooling down period between each pull with the fan on, so how can the tranny fluid turn into "brake fluid"?

Thanks!
