Default d16y5 block and d16y8 head

hello, just wanted to let every know that i am new to honda's and appreciate you guys reading this. anyways i am interested in building a d16y5 block and d16y8 head because i have found a good deal on these items. anything you know that would help me out would be great but mainly i would like to know if this is possible (dont know if vtec-e and vtec can be swapped in and out) and if this is a good idea or is there a better swap/build.

thanks

yes it will work the only difference between the y5/y8 is the the y5 is equipped with egr and has a roller valvetrain but if you use the y8 head on the y5 it will pretty much be a y8 and also depends on what car ur putting it in aswell
