93 Hatch EG Rear Shocks? Missing
Ok what parts do i need to bring back my shocks in the rear windshield on my EG 93 Civic Hatchback? I know i need shocks but what other pieces am i missing? could any one tell me from refrence off their car? Thanks
What's left on the car? There should be ball studs screwed to the frame at the top of the glass and threaded nuts that go through the glass on the other side. If you don't have these you'll need to get them from a dealer. The gas struts themselves you can get off ebay or whatever.
ok cool thanks..well the ball and and gas struts i found off ebay...i was wondering what other parts/hardware i needed for the strut to rear windshield..Thanks for the help and reply
Thanks ....well i have not bought nothing yet but I need the whole thing/everything. lol Struts and what ever parts/hardware I need that goes with it. I have deleted the wiper and old tint and cleaned it all up back their. I tried to look it up on honda dealership site but the diagram sucks and looks old so it did not help much.

Thanks for the links...no i have not done so but i will right now! Thanks for the replys everyone..if any other info let me know...and email me for the prices if you got this stuff!
One thing to be careful of is not to strip the threads of the nut that goes through the glass and attached to the bottom of the strut. The threads are way weak. I made the mistake of attaching the tops of the struts first and then tried to screw the other side into the glass...the slightest twisting motion and stripped threads.
95ProjectEJ1 that has to be the best diagram i have seen and hella detailed lol thanks for the help and thanks to the others!
Damn that sucks...ok thanks...so i thread the windshield ones first right?...where does that gasket go? on the outside nut or the inside spacer?
IIRC the gasket goes on the outside, and the nut poked through and the plastic spacer ring snaps around it on the inside...but I'm going from memory here so I'm not 100%. It should be pretty clear when it goes together.
I don't remember exactly what I did on the install, but if you just keep in mind that the threads are weak and make sure the bolt is lined up straight and don't let it hang or twist while you're screwing it in, you should be fine.
