Default Easy out and left hand drill bits

Anyone ever use these before? Any success? Someone must have broken the original plate screws off for my rear plate and then drilled it out so you can only fit a smaller screw into it now and the screw doesnt really sit right. I want to possibly use an easy out bit or a left hand drill bit. Just wondering what peoples experiences have been with them??

Also any other ideas on how to get the broken screws out lmk.

Thanks

Ive used extractors (EZ out) numerous times - they do work, if sized properly and the threads are clean enough to turn the bolt/stud at all.

You dont need a left hand bit, just drill a hole smaller than the extractor. If you dont already own a set, they sometimes come as a package - bit and extractor together

There is already a hole. I just used some smaller screws to rig it up for now until I get some time to do this. By the clean threads do you mean the ones that are there once you drill the hole?

I mean like not a siezed bolt, due to rust.

hmm gotcha so the original threads. I just have to try and find out I guess since I have no clue if they siezed because of rust. Is it easy to get the bits stuck in there? or do they back out pretty easy? I think I am going to pick up a kit today.
