Default Universal mufflers

A person is selling a HKS HI-POWER universal muffler. My question is.. is it bad to buy used mufflers cause it might not sound as good as it used to? i dont have money for a catback so yeah haha. just wondering

actually i asked that earlier for i am still looking for an exhaust. That thread has nothing to do with buying a used exhaust.

There's not much difference with a used muffler.

If it looks to be in decent shape then pick it up. My only concern would be to see if it were rusted. But if it were a stainless steel muffler you should be alright.

Edit - And that thread does have something to do with buying a "used muffler" because your muffler does not have a big effect on the sound, which is what your worried about.

And honestly if your so worried save up the money and purchase a new muffler or exhaust.

how much is said muffler? An ES oval is only $80-90 brand new.
