Default Check engine light

I threw a #41. i wanted to know how accurate the DIY cel was with the wire you plug into the plug above the ecu! becasue i dont want to buy a o2 sensor if I dont need to! Oh and the primary o2 sensor is the one on the header correct?

It is accurate as long as you read the flashing/blinking CEL correctly. The primary O2 is on the exhaust manifold.

i have a 95 coupe dx. The primary oxygen heater is the plug located to the left of the header, and you can visible see it when you open the hood correct? and it is not the one that is near the cat correct?
