That is the ignitor..
The CPS is down inside the distributor..

Usually what happens to the sensors
is that the bearing goes out and shreads up..
The sensors are magnetic and the shards of metal
are collected by the magnets which distorts the signal
to the ecu and throws a code..

thanks, i have it apart right now. Does anyone know what the spacing is supposed to be between the sensors and the pick ups? does it just have to not touch?
