Car wont start need guru help
Ok soo...its a 91 OBD0 Integra.Had b16ain there running fine. Swapped my OBD1 GSR motor in there the other day.It started but wouldnt hold idle, I had to stay on the gas for it to run. CEL came on, IACV.I then swapped the OBD0 TB and IACV onto my manifold and now the motor doesnt even start????? Also why are there like 3 extra coolant hoses on my GSR motor??? i have them plugged off so whatever.
sorry dude i thought i had wrote that up there but i guess not. im still runnin OBD0 and i have the OBD0 injectors in there too, everythign is OBD0 except my motor itself but dizzy, injectors, TB, IACV , ECU, all that is OBD0.
did you find out why the IACV wasn't working the first time? Did you check continuity in the wire from the IACV connector to the ECU before you swapped them?
Also, did you try the idle adjustment screw on the throttle body?

i have no idea why it didnt run right the first time, i figured maybe i should put the old IACV in there because i removed the b16 and that thing was running like a clock in there, so i figured put the IACV that was in there and now it doesnt start at all.

you might have to flash your ECU bro.. if not.. also check your timing belt.. if you said it only holds idle.. and you have to step on the gas to idle.. that could be the timing, you could always just get a p72?? I think correct me if im wrong.. I believe thats the 5speed GSR computer.. it might not be recognizing the cams... * shrugs* theres many different things bro.

"bro", again you are an idiot...he stated that the issue lies between the TB and IACV, as evidenced by the results occurring upon swapping them between obd0 and obd1....neither of those has ANYTHING to do with the timing belt, "bro"
please don't open your mouth and post random incorrect things
to the OP, get the vaccuum diagrams for both obd0 and obd1....check all sensors directly related to the IM as well (map, tps, iacv, etc)

IIRC there are two plugs near the back of the intake manifold that can be interchanged. Make sure you dont have them swapped.
Did you clean the IACV when you took it out? Spray it with carb cleaner and dry it out.
