Anyone has suggestion where I should start reading to learn how to paint my car DIY style?

 

pretty much this whole forum. check the 50 dollar paint job thread if you re on a budget otherwise there are numerous threads on painting

 

I'll second that. This forum has more info than any book That I've seen could teach you.

some of the stuff flowing around here is pretty useless.

there's some good there's some bad

there is alot of good painting book in major book store and online places

 

I agree, I've read some crazy bad advice and techniques on here. The cool thing about autobody is there is a range of ways to do things correctly, not just one absolute. The interwebs/google in general is a great resource for information for many skilled trades and DIY info. You just have to take the time to search around. If you do buy an autobody book, get something thats up to date with current materials, techniques and technology.

 

the thing i hate about getting info on forums about a big process is reading through pages and pages of useless info, then getting some useful stuff, then more BS.
