Default enough compression for skunk pro2 cams ?

I heard to get the full benifit of the pro2 cams, its better to have a higher compression ratio , Im running a b16 with ctr pistons. Im wondering if I have enough compression to run the pro2's? Or are the pro1 a better choice?

I would ask b19coupe. That guy has tried all kinds of setups. Couple hundred b16's at least.
I have a stock bottom end and milling. I have roughly 11 to 1 comp. He had recommended that I run a pro series cam last time I spoke to him but I can't remember if it was a 1 or 2. good luck! Happy new year.

Insted of wondering, you could always check what the manufacturer has to say, why wouldn't you? Even looking on their site would have answered a question or two. Pro 2's in a B16a??? I don't think so. I'm always amazed at how many people ask questions like this on here looking for opinions instead of FACTS from the Manufacturer which is easily accessable...

So you asked Skunk on the 31'st and then what?

I understand that you're upset because I pointed out that you're a lazy assed idiot. Any further replies like your last one will just remove all doubt from everyones minds.

Thank you for contacting the Helpdesk at Skunk2 Racing.

On a street driven car I recommend running the Pro 1's. To see the full potential out of Pro 2's you would need not only more compression but more displacement as well.

Pro 1's will get you very close to your 200whp goal.

If you have any more questions regarding Skunk2 products or policy please let us know. Thanks.

We're you two both beating off when you read this thread? Skunk told him the EXACT same thing that 00Red_SiR told him. Not enough displacement, not enough compression.

I'm wondering why the OP made this thread after skunk told him not to run the pro2's.

Pro2+'s aren't supposed to respond well to anything under 2.0l displacement

Damn, no one told "Natural Aspirations" and I this!

Here, to think, we're running cams that don't respond well to our setups, and making 2600+ lbs. chasis trap 105-108mph! We should go out right now, an switch them out to something smaller.

Hi guys,

My name is Brian and I work for Skunk2.

Since I found myself quoted I felt compelled to clarify one point.

I was not saying that you CANT run Pro 2's on a B16/B18, but rather suggested that you wont see the full potential those camshafts have to offer.

I stand by my statement that Pro 1's would be a better choice in order to help this particular fellow hit his stated goal.
