need help on my 88 std hatch, swap 90 crx si clusters
ok i bought a 90 crx si cluster w/rpm from the junk n installed it to my 88 std hatch, i thought it would be the same cause it looks same, with plugs and all, i was wondering if theres anything i'm missing, cause I got everything hooked up, but seems like the rpm is not working, most likely everything else works besides some things
i have a 88std hb with a 91 si cluster had to connect a green or blue wire to make the tach work dont really remember which wire. I had to mess with some other wires to get everthing working right, used the chiltons wiring diagrams.
still can't find, i see one for the gs-r but i don't know if thats it, would a 88-89 crx or civic si w/rpm work, but i would have to get one, i already have a 90 crx si w/ same miles as my car
Heres a link that shows the pinouts for the swap. You will have to re-pin most of the wires.

is this for the euro sir cluster or it works as for the us si cluster too, is the chart on the bottom for the 88-89 the original or is it already changed as they have it on the picture
If possible, go back to the junk yard and cut off the plugs that go into the cluster and match up the wires from your cluster wiring harness. You should also get the cluster cover (part attached to the dash) and make sure you have the metal mounting brackets that were on the 90 cluster as the cluster, cover, and brackets changed on the 90 model. There were 2 different cluster manufacturers and the wiring is different between the 2. Hope this helps!
