tranny problem
ok heres the deal lately my tranny grinds only when i rev the engine to 6k rpm's and change gears from 2nd to 3rd i had my stage 1 clutch installed in the summer so i'm not sure what it could be. other than that if i drive normal it doesn't give me any problems any help will be appreciated thanks
Probably the syncros......just drain your tranny fluid and use syncromesh fluid. I am using the pennzoil syncromesh i bought from autozone. It was like 3 or 4 bucks a quart and i think i used 3 or 3 1/2. Now i have no more grinds

Good common solve. But this is a bandaid and not a fix. You 'patched' it to work.
The only other fix other then that is to replace the syncros, which won't be an easy task nor a cheap one.

Just needing a synchro is a common misconception in the Honda/Acura world. Most of the time it needs a Sleeve in addition. They synchro has flattened out and the grinding you hear is the sleeve catching on the gear...not the synchro
So lay that to rest and know that just changing fluids is not going to fix a worn part...only mask it until it gets worse and damages things further.
Good luck! Sooner the better. Fluids are not a replacement for worn parts.

depends on how much free time you have and also how much monies you have the free time repair it if it is just a dx tranny then you might want to go with an si if you do decide to swap.
