Default Main caps?

Ok so this is the story:

I was driving my hatch the other night and the vacum line came off the waste gate, and my turbo spiked and then the car just shuts off. I towed the car home and I was like , then I desided to take the head off the see how bad the damage was, and I was like .

I went out the next day and bought locally for $200, another GSR short block. Everything looked in great condition, but the only catch is that the block was in pieces. So i buy new rod bearings, and main bearings, piston rings, and apr main studs. I started puting everything together and then it hits me. The guy that sold me the block did not give me the main caps, and I can't get intouch with him now.

Now my question is. Can I use the main caps off my old GSR block? I keep hearing different things from differnet people.

Yes but be sure to line hone it at the machine shop to be sure its straight/true and be sure to mic out your bearings (which you should do anyways)

the block is line honed with the original main caps, its not a good idea to switch them around, you might have to have the whole thing honed again, if not, you should at least use a snap gauge or a dial bore gauge to install new OEM bearings to get the right clearances (bring it to a machine shop)

I would expect to pay around 100-150 depending on where you go.
