what do i need to replace before swapping my b18c to my ek? oil pump, water pump, bearings, etc???? anything else??? the head has about 110,000 on it and the block i bought form dart has about 20,000

 

well if the block has only 20k on it you shouldnt have to replace the bearings quite yet. you dont ever have to replace anything unless its broken inorder to swap your motors. however its highly recommeded to do the usual water pump. tbelt, and tstat. rule of thumb the better you take care of it the better it will take care of you. but there is such thing as over kill haha.

 

u dont even need to replace anything unless u want to rebuild the engine before u do the swap. but if u are not rebuilding the engine first, u will not know which part is broken until u swap it into your car and test drive it.
