A couple of years ago I had a "friend" swap a JDM type r into a EG hatch for me. (too busy and had just moved or I'd have done it myself, but I paid him good money for the job...) Recently the alternator went out and I had to get an OBD1 style (round plug) to replace it with.

I'm curious to know whether the alternator that comes on a 96-97 JDM ITR has the OBD1 plug or if the guy simply slapped in an old OBD1 wiring harness and matching alternator.
