Default Ls vtec integra with type-r pistons???

I have a ls vtec integra with gsr pistons and I was thinking about getting some usdm type-r or jdm type-r pistons and I was wondering if it will give me a lot more power or just a Lil more.and how much I will notice the gain.let me know

if you use the LS rods with the ITR pistons, your gonna need to have machine work done. Keep that in mind.

--- I would think it would increase horsepower but not too dramatically. Maybe a 20-25whp. Guesstimate, don't quote me on that though.

It'll bump the compression as I am sure you have already found out...you will gain nothing without tuning, and even with a proper tune do not expect 20 - 25 whp. I am not bashing on you Mfoehrkolb, you did say it was a guesstimate!

ya, tuning is key on a good running car. jeff evans FTW! tbh, i wouldn't even use oem itr pistons. if your gonna and wanna do something all motor. get some nice after market ones.

You cpuld alway just look around for high comp pr4 or p72 pistons then you can run them without any machining. Not 100% sure if you need to on the p73s.

the Rods won't fit into the piston, i had to mill off .45 off each side of the rod on mine.

you can use gsr, p30s, pr3's without no milling.
