New user -help with sirius XM install
My wife has an 07~ 2-dr civic and I need help installing a sirius XM radio. The reason for the sirius is that she can take it anywhere instead of just in the car. I have the correct antenna adapters. Also, I need to know how to remove theradio (if necessary). Thanks in advance.
Get an Aux cable and plug it directly into the AUX hookup near the cig lighter. You can just mount the antenna on the dash in the corner. (I get perfect reception there) Next figure out where you want to mount the actual unit. Thats all there is to it. No need to remove the radio etc.
I`m going to give it a shot. I bought everything from best buy. Ofcourse, if I do it myself, I`ll save $80. I believe I have everything. I had to buy the forward/reverse antenna adapter, so I`m guessing it just plugs in-line??Thanksin advance

The antenna that comes with the unit you bought is all you need.

This right here has everything you would need. Except you cant control the stations through the factory stereo.

She understands that she cannot control the stations with the stock radio. For the $$, I just thought the siruis was a much better option than Honda, and being able to take it anwhere.

You dont need any antenna adapters, plug it into the aux plug and get GREAT sound quality as opposed to BS fm modulated sound. If you wanna be able to take it out of the car to other cars than just use the cig plug above the aux plug. No need to remove the radio for anything!
I use xm but it shouldn't be much different. I plug into the radio using the AUX input and run the antenna under the carpets to the truck and have the antenna sitting on the top off the truck. Very easy to install.
