Default What i did this weekend... 8)

This is my first time doing this so be gentle with me

So this is what and how we did it.
We put a new 96 head with crower stage 1 cams and crower springs and retainers.

this is me
Thats not a pair of socks in my pocket i'm just really happy

it is going into an ef
this is with the stock head

first remove the stock head

now it's off

the new stuff

And those were some damn dirty looking pistons

so like ten min and some carb cleaner and a brush and you get this
And yes real men wear purple gloves

Then install the new head onto the block with a NEW headgasket
I found it easier to install the intake manifold out of the car

then finish installing the stuff and time the car and valve time the head

this is our super cool timing cover we made

Then clean up the garage and change into something nice

yes it is posible to look this good

All done

Be careful
this makes allot of power and u might not be able to handle it.
So powerful it crushed my intake....

or i forgot to tighten it down and it fell off and i ran it over

ok i'm done now

Yeah my car was recently stolen and they pulled my alarm and threw it with out triggering it, so my friend welded a chain to the underside and i lock it now so it won't happen again.

that sucks! did you have a hood sensor? i hear the best place to mount those sensors are in the back where it cant be grabbed, theres also tilt hood sensors (as opposed to the switch type) which cannot be bypassed but they require some fine tuning. another thing is to reroute the hood latch cable through the engine bay. check out the security/alarm threads on here if you havent already.
here's a real good site http://causeforalarm.thecarthi....html
