Default Type R head

ok here is the deal. as most of you kno i have a B18C JDM GS-R motor just lying around. and i just stumbled across a great deal, this weekend i just might be picking up a 00 Type R head for 2-250. is there anything that i should look for in particular? thanks

Yes, it should be stamped PR3 on the front of it and should be made in 1996 or later, and should have some green paint on the rear back area where the distributor mounts, although sometimes that wears off.

koo. are there any other things i should look for? how can i tell if they are the stock type R cams still in the head? i kno its supposed to have dual valve springs, does anyone have any pics? i personally havent seen any in person, thanks guys.

you can probably google it just search type r stock cams in pics idk though im at work and cant do it im assembling my sohc vtec turbo frankenstein project for my autocross car.

I thought the b cams had some sort of notch or notches that distinguished the type-r cams from the c1 and others. Ill have to see if i can find that.

otherwise, i found this:

exhaust cams:
ITR: 10.5mm, duration 235 @1mm
GSR: 9.4mm, duration - 227@1mm

Integra Type R(Through 1999)
Int-240 dur. / 11.5mm lift
Exh-235 dur. / 10.5mm lift

Civic Type R And Integra Type R( 2000/01)
Int-243 dur. / 11.5mm lift
Exh-235 dur. / 10.5mm lift

so if you have something accurate (calipers?) to measure the lobes, you can figure it out that way..
