Quick Vtec Solinoid question
Is there a difference between an SOHC Vtec solinoid and a B16A solinoid? I realize the bolt pattern may be different but im not sure. I was also wondering if maybe they flow differently?

WHen vtec activiates on my b16a its not that loud at full throttle, but if I creep up for 5k for vtec its louder then it is at WOT. I was wondering if maybe someone put a SOHC Vtec solinoid on my B16

NO they are not the same. The SOHC and DOHC solenoids are not interchangable.
They have different mounting holes and are different size wise also.
Also note, a JDM b16 solenoid is also bigger then a USDM b16 solenoid but are interchangable
