Default Amsoil 5w40 synthetic

Is Amsoil 5w40 synthetic too thick to use on a my turbo ls/vtec?

Depends on weather conditions....

When I drove my car year round I used the TSO2000 oil which is 0w30 if I remember correctly. Came out very clean too after 5k miles.

Yea. Right now I am running Mobil1 5w30 and its like water inside my motor. Thats why I am switching to Amsoil.
