Default 99-00 civic Si VS Ex Lip

What are the differences if any? I have a tafetta white civic and don't want to go throught the trouble of painting a lip so i found that hondaautomotiveparts.com has ex lips color matched to my car. I just wanna know if they look the same as si lips. Thanks for your help guys.

as far as i know... there is no such thing as a Ex lip for the 99-00 civic front end... only Si lips. but i do believe there are ex lips for the 96-98 front ends...

The parts department didn't mess up.

All '99-'00 front lips are the same. There is no such thing as an lip that is exclusive to the Si. It's the same as any other '99-'00 OEM front lip. There's also painted sideskirts of course. Same goes for the rear lip too. The '99-'00 front and rear lip and painted sideskirts are listed just for the coupes.

For 1996 to 1998 there is the '97-'98 under spoiler, which is usually known as the "SiR" front lip (yes, they were sold in the US too). This was listed for coupes, hatches and sedans.

Then there is the '98 coupe front and rear lip (and painted sideskirts). An easier way to refer to this might be to call it the Sport lip as it's referred to in Europe.

I went to the website but couldn't find the lips listed. Did you find it on the website, or did you call them?

It's under ACCESSORIES > EXTERIOR. It's only listed for '99-'00 coupes. There will also be painted sideskirts listed in there and rear lips. They'll be broken down by color. The only optional part of the lip kit for the '99-'00 Si is the rear lip.

NOFX is spot-on as usual. All '99-00 Civics had the same OEM lip, but in the US it was only standard equipment on the Si. For all other trims, it was a dealer-installed accessory.

Thanks.

Oh, and I re-read the first post. There is one difference... but it really doesn't matter.

The only difference between the USDM '99-'00 Si front lip and the USDM '99-'00 EX (or DX or HX) front lips is that the "Si lip" comes in fewer colors and the other lips don't come in Electron Blue Pearl. That's really more of a specific that doesn't matter to most people though. It's more of a part number difference (since different colors are different part numbers).

Clover Green Pearl (2DR DX, 2DR EX)
Flamenco Black Pearl (2DR DX, 2DR EX, 2DR Si)
Taffeta White (2DR DX, 2DR EX)
Electron Blue Pearl (2DR Si)
Milano Red (2DR DX, 2DR EX, 2DR HX, 2DR Si)
Vogue Silver Metallic (2DR DX, 2DR EX, 2DR HX)

Oh, and there's not '96-'98 EX front lip either. There's a '98 coupe front and rear lip with painted sideskirts (that's what I have) and then there is the '97-'98 front under spoiler for the coupe/hatch and sedan. Most people call that the "Sir" front lip and think it's just JDM, but it's not. It was available in the US too.

They might be. I can't tell you for sure right now since I'm not usually into '99-'00 parts. Lots of websites list discontinued parts though.
