i've gone to advanced auto 3 times and they still haven't given me the correct cap and rotor. You probably are thinking that i should bring in the old cap and rotor but i don't have them.. they weren't included. The rotor they keep giving me doesn't fit on the shaft, i do have part of the old one..

i think they gave me the right cap this time, but im not sure. So can someone give me the correct part numbers from advanced auto or anything where?

as for part numbers for advance auto it depends on what brand you are buying, I'm not going to list the part numbers for each one.

But judging by the prices on advance auto's site, you'd probably only pay slightly more (again depending on brand you are buying at advance) at the dealer for those parts, so why not just go their if you keep getting the wrong part?

Also, are you sure that the distributor you have is from a 97 EX (F22B1)? Just wondering...

$35-45 from the dealer for both

Edit ^^^^ beat me to it TA... make sure it is the Hitachi F22b1 (internal coil) and not the Tech F22B2 (exteranal coil) distributor.

i don't know how to tell the difference to tell you the truth. I'll take a picture and you guys can tell me lol.

 

Tech has 5 connections for wires on the top 4 plug wires and one that goes to the coil. Hitachi only has 4 plug wire connections and that's it.

 

okay i went and looked and the cap they gave me is right i think.. it fits and it only has 4 prongs on the top of it.
