OEM or Mugen RTA bushings?
So I decided to go with another set of the RTA bushing on my 90 CRX since mine were worn out and cracked. From what I'm reading/hearing from several people is that with the energy suspension replacements you can't adjust toe in the rear and they'll to bind since it doesn't allow the arm to move freely.
My question is are the Mugen RTA bushing worth buying or should I just stick with a new OEM replacements? The spherical are out of my price range.
If I do end up buying th Mugen/OEM replacements does the metal sleeve have to be knocked out as well?
Lastly, where would I buy the mugen replacements?
Thanx in advance everyone

I'd stick with the OEM replacements. They are modeled to to similar to the Mugen ones.
I justed pressed old ones out pressed new ones in on every set that I have done.

Did you have to press out the old metal sleeves as well?
One last thing...

Which number is it or do you know what the part number is?

The new ones I have gotten all come with the metal ring around them from Honda. So i pressed everything out. I would verify with Honda or have part in hand before pressing. That is my experience.
I am pretty sure that all Civic's/CRX's are the same. I don't have part number. I just call up dealership and make them find it. I figure that is what they get paid to do. Part # 52385-S21-003

I'm using the ES bushings, and you can adjust the toe, but you need 2 people. The better solution would be to buy an adjustable compensator arm. Piece #15 in the diagram. I don't know who makes it, but I've seen them.

A few hundred bucks, I did my entire front end. All new bushings had to be pressed in.
They sell that expensive tool to press the RTA bushings in but not worth it if your doing one set. Anyone find another solution or tool for cheap or rent?

Really, I have seen a couple of your most recent posts. Why don't you attempt to add something useful to this entire forum. CRX King will soon be CRX Banned at your current rate.
BTW the OEM is modeled after the Mugen.

Here's my opinion:
Spherical > OEM > ES bushings
The ES bushing doesn't allow any like play the OEM does in cornering which will causes binding. Another thing is that you're very limited on adjusting toe on the tires. I don't know about you but I rather keep long life on my tires with OEM bushings versus new tires every couple thousand miles since my car is lowered.

Dont get spherical man....You will oversteer into a ditch...its only a matter of time.
I cant remember where, it was on Dseries, that the Mugen and Oem RTA bushings where just about identical. No one could tell the difference.
If in fact, that is true, just get OEM.
My nukka.....You commin over today homie?
