Default Clutch problems

I was at a stop light today, and my worst moment have arrived.
The light turn green, so I gave it gas. Then I heard this loud noise, sounds like some one was grinding my engine with a grinder. Shut of my car and pop the hood, didnt see nothing bad. So then I told my girl to start it up and nothing happen? Ok now put it into first and try to take off alittle. WTF my transmition was smokeing, and makeing this grinding noise. Now I have this car at my house, with the transmition cracked open. What you know the teeth of the clutch that goes into the transmition was complety rounded off. Also rounded off the transmition shaft. WTF this so BTW the clutch was only 1 year old, it was a 6 puck ACT with a heavey duty PP.

Sorry for the long paragraph but W/E, have this ever happen to you?

ACT 6-puck HD clutch eh? I could see that a ton of hard abuse could round the splines down on the output shaft.

I'm guessing it was an unspring 6 puck? Not that it should really matter, but the unspring discs are a lot harder on the whole drivetrain. Still, something else would have to be wrong to cause something like that. Good luck on fixing it, I'm guessing a junkyard tranny is the cheapest option

Phew foud another gsr tranny.
It was an unsprung disk, so i guess all that hard launching weaken the teeth of the clutch, wich then stripped the **** out of it. Lesson learn, im getting a street disk.
