starting problem

Default starting problem

i have a 91 civic dx and the battery died, no biggy thought i would jump it and it would be fine. well i jumped it, started up after a few cranks and it ran fine. ran it for about 40 mins and turned it off. i wanted to check tto see if the battery held the charge so i go to start the car again and the battery was dead it wouldnt crank. the battery is fairly new under a year old. what could be the problem? no cel

does it run normally when you jump it? or are the headlights dim? if it is normal when running, you will need a new battery.
