Default My ITR.... versus a much faster car..

Here is my story,

Took mum out for a spin today in the ITR, just clocked to 2700kilometres on the odometer.

Out of nowhere as we're cruising along a black porsche flashes past me and cuts into my lane.. and continues.

With the heavy traffic, it was easy for me to keep up with him, just soft 5-10km/hr speeding, no biggie.. i just wanted to check it out!!

My first impression was Wow, a Porsche!! There are SOME Porsches in my area.. though they're all Boxsters (povo rural area).

Next second i'm like "Wow.. it's a 911!!... wait a minute.. OH F*!@# it's a 911 TURBO!!!!!!"

Never seen one of these beautys before, it was f!@@ng beautiful!! MUST have been from out of town.. no one in the hunter can afford one of those.

He obviously saw me, and gave it alot. Traffic held us up but it allowed me to follow him. We were at the lights... and i perved.

Good lord.. the curves, the lines, the lights, everything on it was so damn beautiful. Was an old 60's aged guy, grey hair (not bald) and had a big black leather jacket with big collar.. the car suited him really well.

I wasn't sure what was going to happen, mum was next to me and we left the lights slowly.. i left it slightly slower than him so i was slightly behind. I thought "Oh f!@# it i'll never pass up this chance again" and i gunned it..

Right after i stepped hard on the gas he responded and did the same.. he was ready

By the end of 2nd gear he was.. oh i dunno, how many carlengths is roughly 100metres?

I got totally.. utterly and completely owned.. and i LOVED IT~!! Mum thought i was nuts.. how loud and screaming my car was and it was like.. umm, you know how it feels when the other car is moving that much faster you feel as though you're not moving at all? Well i felt like i was redlining reverse

It was really cool though, looked in front of me and way way in front is the black Porsche's ****.. and i looked in the rear view and a long way behind me was the rest of the traffic. With me right in the middle. For the first time ever i felt as though my car was simply nothing. It's uncomparable. I absolutely loved that Porsche, we continued and had abit of fun for the next two lights before he took his leave. But i swear by my own grave... one day, i will buy that car.. ONE DAY.

Was boring on the way home.. saw this girl drive past me that i have a crush on.. was hoping she'd see me in the flashy integra but alas.. she was fiddling with the glove box or something.. oh well, try again next week

Thats what we live for. You've got girls, sex, money, cars, really fast cars, really REALLY fast cars...

.. and then you got Porsche 911 Turbo's.

LOL do you have ANY idea how much it is to ship them across?

I went to check it out and it's going to cost $6000+ by air to ship the seats, and $2000 by sea.. which will take half a year to get to America. Australia Post won't do it.. had to look at TNT. It's not worth it..

My decision was to take the seats out and keep it in my bedroom or storage room somewhere. Keep them forever... never to be used. And i'm probably gonna get Sparco Torino's for replacement. Good luck searching.. you might as well import a car from here. I saw a 2001 Yellow ITR for sale in the paper the other week and was selling for $35,000.. which is $20k US. Would cost a fortune to ship over + taxes though.

Good luck

Before you throw up that quote is very sketchy.. it'd be better if you got a more exact quote.

http://www.tnt.com.au/index_intetserv_int.htm

I'm not so sure about the weight/length dimensions etc.. check it out and have a go.

*edit* the original quote i posted was in aussie dollars, half for US*

What do you expect?
911 Turbo is like more than $100.k car. ITR is only like $20k.
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ I need money.

We just jumped up alittle, $1 AUS buys around .56 cents US.

So $25 US.. umm under $50 Australia, you won't get much. Shipping would probably be more expensive too. Nothing is cheap in Australia.

Oh, and the spoiler went up too.. didn't expect that. I thought they raise at 110km/hr? I don't think we were going that fast.

I never got to see the front of the car either.. Not surprising.

LOL!!!

Yeah, I see them very often.. Lots of 911`s around here near Frankfurt..

Last week I saw one in my mirror and kicked my ITR in 4th to 9000 ... When I went to right lane he destroyed me hahahaha..... It was fun..
Very often I feel my R is slow and small..... It`s normal to me.

That is cool as **** man. The 911 turbo is an insance car. However, my dad's friend has the best porsche out there today. He has imported the GT-3 from Europe. From what I hear, there are only a hand full of them in the US. The car is not a street legal car. Therefore, he has to insure in under the title of a 911 turbo. This car looks AMAZING. I cant being to describe it. He has it in a very hot bright yellow. The spoiler itself is easily worth 10 g's. The interior is all billet aluminum and carbon fiber. The car does 0-60 in around 3.7 seconds. It sits in the garage for 75% of the year hooked up to a battery. I believe the car cost him $225,000. I dont know if I would ever pay that much money for a car but reguardless, its one sweet ride!

When I read the original post I was wondering if you would tell them your story That black Turbo also played with me one time this winter.. me and my friend was going to the movies and he´s lurking behind me, at first I thought it was a black Audi TT Quattro with the HID´s. It was a 3-lanes-in-each-direction road and he went on the left of me at the same speed that I was going, looked at me, waved and then he was gone, he floored it from 70kmh and WOW.. those are REALLY REALLY fast cars. To bad that my friend wished he was driving his own car, a 500hp supercharded stang

Porsche, there is no substitute....

I used to work at Lynch Porsche/Audi in Chicago a number of years back.
I did new car prep, and sometimes got the chance to drive to another state
for a dealer trade. Oooo what fun.
I still get a woodie when I drive one.
