Default My tire got knifed...

I was just curious if you can patch the side of a tire if it's had a knife jabbed into it? I'm pretty sure the answer is a NO, but I'd like to confirm that.

Some people are punks...

you can patch sidewalls, but that only works for a pinhole or a screw. as far as a slash i think you out of luck. i go to school for automotive, and theres a big sign "We repair tire sidewalls" and my room mate needed it and its still holding up been about 4 months now.

Even that is usually NOT recommended by most tire experts.

Was it just a random tire slashing or were you being bad and karma got you?

I'm here for the background story

But yea like everyone else said, tire is dead.

Even if you could "fix" it. Would you ever really feel comfortable taking a hard corner with a tire like that?

Completley random. Aparently some punk kids went on a rampage through my apartment complex, my car happened to be one they targeted. I guess my alarm scared them off otherwise I'm sure it could have been worse.

No way. New tire ordered.

It's funny, the one time I park my car outside of the garage it get's messed with.
