PLEASE SOMEONE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS TOPIC AND HELP ME

bottom line "HAS ANYONE DOSE THIS?!?!?!?" if so, what am i getting myself into???.. can someone tell me the ins and outs!??!? WHAT DO I NEED TO BUY..OR WIRE that is different from 98 to 00...or is everything going to be fine if i just put everything in right? WHAT TO USE AND NOT TO USE?

i have the entire a/c unit and wiring from a 99-00 si and im putting it all in my ek.. but the tail light harness dosent plug up(due to the coupe and hatch difference) so since im use 99-00 interior wiring should i get 99-00 EK tail light harness to plug it up to the si inside harness? i must use the 99-00 under dash?

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!

 

ok there should be three main harness in the interior of the car, there is the dash harness , the mid harness that runs the doors and is routed under the seats and t's to go back to the rear body harness , then the rear harness that goes to your tail lights.
where are the plugs not matching up? cause i have the entire harness from the mid forward out of a 00 si inside of my 00 ek hatch! i have had to alter a few things but i have every option from the 00 si in my hatch! i can probably help if you can clarify a little better! maybe the 98 has some different plugs somewhere, i dont know, obviously for the different dash a/c systems. also do a search, i found a lot of info when i did mine especially when swapping the si doors onto the hatch! but if you have any q's hit me up!

ok, if all you are doing is adding AC into your hatch, then why do you have to deal with taillights and there harness?

 

FIY, not all '96-'98 hatches are EK4s. In the US theyr'e EJ6s. An EK4 came with a stock B16A (some had the B16A2) and was available as both a hatchback and a sedan. The EK4 ran from 1995 to 2001 (depending on the country it was originally sold in). This equates to our year span in the US that we refer to as the 6th generation (1996-2000). They were never sold in the US though.

Comparably, the EK9 did not just run from 1999-2000. The EK9 is only the Honda Civic Type R (base trim, RX and Race, which is also known as the N1). The EK9 came with the B16B. The Type R was only sold in Japan and was sold as 1997-2000 models.

Not trying to go off topic. Just trying to teach.

 

ok i got some more info, you can probably get the opposite plugs from the donor car and re-pin your factory taillight harness plug to mate up to your si harness! i have a print out of the factory edm (electrical diagnostic manual) but i can't find it just yet when i get it i will post it for you!
