Several years ago, I replaced my OEM clutch with 135K miles on it with a Clutchmasters Stage 1 clutch. During that time I went to the drag strip a couple of times, and did a few autocrosses.
Now the Clutchmasters has about 125K miles on it and is about to need replacing. With over 260K miles on my car, engine, tranny, etc., I don't see myself racing the car anymore. It's strictly a daily driver only. It seems like a waste to spend over $300 for another Clutchmasters clutch when I don't race it anymore.
My brother put a $130 clutch kit from AutoZone in his del Sol and it seems to be working just fine, but I don't know about that, either.
Are there any good-quality clutches out there for around $200 or so? I'll also be replacing my CM 8 lb. flywheel's steel friction surface (a little over $100 I believe) so that's why I'm trying not to spend so much on the clutch.
