EG intake in EF?
I will fit but the intake will be close to the shock tower as most EG SRI are straight and I would be careful aswell around the battery location as our cars have caught fire from the intake grounding out from the positive battery post to the shock tower.
I would look into one that would have a dual bend in it.
Dual bend Intake:

Straight intake:

Notice the straight intake has had the battery relocated to the trunk most likely. Also helps with overall balance IIRC.

yes it will but u gotta relocate the battery i see if i can get a pic of where i located the battery on my crx it sold now but i see if i can get a pic.
weight distrubution? a damn battery weighs like 40 pounds, and thats a big one. like buick battery, the small civic batt. weighs like 25 mayybee. its just getting it out of the way.they used to do it on muscle cars so they would have more weight in the back so they would have better traction. along w/ cinder blocks and ****.
EDIT**if you need room, throw your batt in the trunk, or behind the pass. seat , for the wires i used an old set of jumper cables, been working fine for 2 years. no need to spend money on things you dont need to

j's is just for the bling factor
and I have used an ek AEM cold air in my ef before but to get some thing like that to fit you either
1 move the battery to the trunk
2 custom mount it behind the bumper
3 custom mount a smaller battery frame rail near where the battery used to be

1. i got it for cheap and they make more power and better airflow than a normal tube intake.
2. get a smaller battery anyway, less weight since that seems to be a big factor to you guys, 5 pounds on a more expensive batt isnt going to do **** so just stick it in the back, not a big deal.

I've seen 5+ Dyno charts proving the opposite.
By the way... most race tracks will not allow a battery relocated behind the seat like you suggested.

relocate the battery or reposition a smaller battery in the stock location. I made this intake and it didn't come near the terminals.

My setup is similar to STREETWERKZ with the small battery, but because its a dry cell, I put the battery on its side and have the intake running over it.
I like the intake because it has less bends

Here is the pic i told u i was going to get. This is how i relocated my battery in the crx i had it was easy and i like it i used a 92-95 civic battery the posts were on the other side i think it called reverse post or so well here is the pic it fits good. I havent seen any one else doing it this way. For parts i used the old bracket stuff the one side of the hanger screwed in the front traction bar and then the other screw down with a bolt. It is tight and fits good it one of the cheapest and easiest relocation i like it there then in the trunk if your car is not wire tuck if it is then in the back my si has the battery in the back. That is my project car.

you could prolly do as i did. got this kit off from e-bay 45$ shipped. thought it was 3" as advertised but it's only 2.75" ID though. after some few cuttings here and there, i think it'll do it's job for my DD atleast.

with it is an AEM filter btw. not the one which came with the kit, junk piece
